The McDaniel Family Foundation uses the Colorado Common Grant Application, found here . Please email a single PDF of your complete application to McDanielFamilyFoundation@gmail.com by September 1. All applications will be reviewed in September, and applicants will be notified if their grant has been funded by October 1.

• Who is eligible to apply?
  • 501c(3) organizations within Colorado that serve women and children
• When are applications due?
  • In 2025, applications are due on September 1. This is subject to change in future years.
• When will funds be disbursed?
  • Organizations will be notified by October 1 if their grant application has been funded. Funds will be disbursed by December 31.
• Do applicants need to have a direct connection to the Christian faith expressed in the McDaniel Family Foundation’s mission?
  • No, applicants do not need to be a Christian organization to apply. The McDaniel Family Foundation is driven by a desire to demonstrate God’s love in the world by supporting women and children in need. But we recognize that there are wonderful organizations supporting women and children in Colorado that are not connected to the Christian faith, for various reasons. Affiliation with the Christian faith will not be considered while making funding decisions. 
• Does the McDaniel Family Foundation fund general operating expenses?
  • We prefer to fund specific programs, but will still consider applications that request general operating support.
• What is the average grant size?
  • In 2025, we will disburse a total of $100,000 to Colorado nonprofits. In 2024, we funded 5 applications that ranged from $10,000-$25,000 each. We suggest that applicants request 5-10% of their annual revenue. 
• How are grant recipients selected?
  • We choose to fund the grants that are most directly connected to our mission, and that will have the largest impact. Mission Statement: Demonstrate God’s love by alleviating hardship experienced by women and children in Colorado.
• Are there any reporting requirements?
  • Please email mcdanielfamilyfoundation@gmail.com answers to both questions below by August 31.
    • Describe the progress made toward the goals and objectives as stated in the funded grant application.
    • What percentage of the funds have been used thus far?
